Ryan has served as the Vice President for Student & Campus Life at Cornell University since August 2015. The Division of Student & Campus Life (SCL) provides a broad array of programs and services designed to support students and the campus community, including Athletics, Recreation & Physical Education, Dean of Students Office, Campus Activities, Sorority & Fraternity Life, Residential & New Student Programs, Campus & Community Engagement, Cornell Health, Campus Life Enterprise Services, Cornell Dining, Cornell Stores, Public Service Center, Cornell Commitment, and Cornell Career Services. SCL is comprised of more than 1200 full-time staff and has an annual operating budget of more than $260 million. Ryan received an undergraduate degree in Music Education from West Chester University, a master's degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Kansas, and a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from North Carolina State University. Immediately prior to joining Cornell, Ryan worked at Ohio University as the Vice President for Student Affairs and an affiliated faculty member in the College of Education.
