Anshuman Mohan is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the Bowers College of Computing and Information Science. His research reexamines the way we interact with computers, most often by developing new programming languages that address the challenges of a specific domain. For a taste, he has developed tools in the service of genomics, the law, and the internet. Before Cornell, Anshuman was a research assistant at the National University of Singapore. Before that, he was part of the inaugural cohort of Yale-NUS College. He grew up in Calcutta.   
  
Anshuman cares about food, squash, cycling, and cinema. Like everyone else in graduate school, he is something of a lapsed avid reader. He is thrilled to be joining Rose House, where his mission, slow but sure, will be to have every single member of the community over to his apartment for dinner.
