AJ Alvero is an Assistant Research Professor with the Center for Data Science for Enterprise and Society. As a computational sociologist, his work incorporates big data and computational methods to answer questions related to culture, language, race and ethnicity, education, technology, and social stratification. AJ's past and ongoing work has examined important social processes, including college admissions, parole hearings, and emergency room visits. Prior to earning his PhD at Stanford University, AJ was a high school English teacher in Miami, FL.
